Institute of economic research (IRENE)
Created in 1985, IRENE - called Institut de recherches économiques (IRER) until 2005 - is the competence center of the University of Neuchâtel regarding education and research in economy.
The activities of the Institute cover education (bachelor, Master's, PhD, continuing education), fundamental and applied research, as well as other services to the community, in particular mandates for national and international organisations. IRENE is at present managed by professors Mehdi Farsi, Jean-Marie Grether and Milad Zarin.
