Bienvenue à l'ILCF

With more than 400 students, with about 120 full-time, the Institute of French Language and Culture (ILCF) of the University of Neuchâtel, is, since 1892, a centre for specialised studies in the teaching of French to non-native speakers (FLE). It provides the following courses:

  • a training in French language, literature and cultural studies for a year (Certificat)
  • a specialised training for FLE teachers-to-be for two years (Diplôme)
  • maching of FLE as part of a Bachelor of Arts curriculum (BA)
  • remedial French courses to non-French-speaking students of the various faculties (students from UniNE, HE-ARC and HEM; scientific employee of UniNE and CSEM)
  • a summer course, one month in july
  • an immersion course (Swiss Mobility, Erasmus and HE-ARC students)
  • specialized courses on demand
  • course "French for everybody" of the Faculty of Arts
