How to get there:

By plane / train
Neuchâtel can be easily reached by train from Geneva (airport) and Zurich (airport).

By foot
from the Neuchâtel train station it is a 15 minute walk to the University (right side of the city map).

By bus
the bus station is located north of the railway station. Take bus no 7 (direction 'Hauterive'), get off at the station "Les Portes Rouges", walk back to cross the bridge. Turn right after the bridge (green cross on the detailed site Unimail map).
You can get bus tickets at each bus stop (CHF 1.70 "Railway station" to "Portes-Rouges", coins or CASH card).

By car
Arriving by car, leave the highway at the exit "Maladière". At the roundabout, continue straight on, follow Route des Falaises, Rue Pierre-à Mazel. At the light turn right (uphill) into the Rue de Gibraltar, take the second street on the right, the Avenue Bellevaux (see map below). Look out for the brown signs bearing the logo of the university and labeled "Le Mail". You can park on the parking lot below the buildings (long stay). If it is full and you don't find a parking space in the neighbouring streets (most of it are short stay only, blue zone, max. 1.5 hours), use the free customer parking of the shopping center COOP "Portes-Rouges". This parking is open from 7:30-18:30.
